Brief 1- Shoot 2

This is the second shoot I did for Figures in the Environment. I don't think it was as successful as the first shoot if I'm honest some had the wrong settings, especially the ones of the girl by the church. This is something I definitely need to improve.

Brief 1-Shoot 1

This is my first homework shoot for photography. To be honest, I really enjoyed it because I could experiment with different things and my models and I came out with some great shots! Some are better than others but that's obviously going to happen =) I'm actually really proud of this shoot and the models didn't have to do much because what's in the photos is their every day life.

Brief 1-College Shoot

This is my very first shoot at college, we were basically experimenting with what the cameras could do at this point and some of us got seriously confused on what we were meant to be doing but I think some of the outcomes are actually alright, considering the circumstances =) however there were only 3 images that I thought were best.

Brief 1-critical studies

My first brief was Figures in the Environment, I had to experiment with the relationship between the figure and the background in the style of a chosen artist or photographer. The first thing I had to do for this brief was look at existing artists for inspiration-here's just a selection of the images I looked at. 

 These two images are from Joachim Ladefoged, who was part of photojournalism.

This image is from Bill Brandt who started off with art then turned to photography 

These images are from Henri Cartier-Bresson, who also started off with art, then went on to photography. He also went on to film.

I'm Lauren and I am currently studying photography at A-level at Sir John Deane's college in Northwich. I'm in my first year, and it's going great! I'm really enjoying it, despite sometimes finding it hard to stick to the brief. I'm using this blog to broadcast my ideas and inspirations as well as showing my best shots and I might occasionally show my not-so-good shots =)
